It’s Super Bowl weekend and in Central New York traditions run deep with chicken wings and pizza, cheering fans pushing for a touchdown and team colors in almost every home and bar. In Rome, we love football. From high school to the Buffalo Bills, we are dedicated fans. We also really love pizza.
Most of us will be watching the game and there is also the few who are just showing up for the food.
Are you contemplating to cook in or order out, there’s a good reason for you to call your local Marco’s pizza shop to do the cooking so you can kick back, not stress and enjoy the game.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with the manager of Marco’s pizza shop in Rome, Zach Parker, a young enthusiastic, energetic, positive guy who loves what he does. As soon as you walk into the shop, you are greeted with happy faces and warm hello’s with an even warmer aroma of fresh dough and mozzarella cooking in the ovens.
Did you know
Zach, Rome manager for 2 years, takes a lot of pride in his shop, from training each employee how to make the best Marco’s pizza to great customer service, he is dedicated. “I was hired by district manager, Nate Brandt, three years ago. He saw my positive work ethic and promoted me to manager soon after” said Zach. The leadership doesn’t fall far from the tree in this pizza shop, “My crew is positive, fast and takes a lot of pride in serving our customers the best pizza in town,” continued Zach. He has two crew members in shop with record time pizza making skills! And not just a regular cheese pizza but a LG pepperoni cheese pizza. My taste buds are watering. Brianna Marshall holds it down at 45 seconds and Sidnee Lenaghen right behind her at 46 seconds. Talk about fast service!
Tastes so good
Not only is the Rome shop fast, they keep the quality in making a great pizza. If you’re taste buds are regular or extra zesty, you can order your crust at Marco’s Pizza with the extra. The dough is made fresh daily, never frozen and “a little bit of Italy in every bite.” The shop holds high standards to make sure your Marco’s experience is the best pizza experience. Make sure to add their award winning White Cheese Pizza loaded with 4 types of cheese, including feta, tomatoes, onions and bacon to your menu of things to eat this week.
Yes, this is a pizza shop but wait, there’s more! Zach recommends the cheezy bread, “I eat it more than I should but it’s so good.” The menu consists of pizzas, subs, wings, salads, desserts and hot deals! You can always save money ordering from Marco’s. Ask a crew member what’s good for the day or order online at their website. With daily and weekly specials like 2-Medium 1-Topping pizzas with cheezy bread and 2-liter for just $20.99 +tax you can feed the whole family on pizza night and not leave a dent in your wallet. This Sunday, Marco’s has a Super Bowl sweet deal, an X-Large 5-Cheese Pizza for just $10.99.
The Rome shop takes one step further in their efforts for good business and are very involved in giving back to our community. Throughout the year, Zach and his team donate pizza’s for local school fundraisers, YMCA events and the Rome Job Fair, held by Rome Alliance Church. This event goes on every few months at various locations in CNY for job seekers and businesses to meet and greet. Click the link to check future events.
